Cinco de mayo isn't really celebrated in Mexico City that much. We spent the day visiting a couple unusual museums. The first was the Museum of Popular Art, which included pottery, beadwork, masks, statues, trees of life, weaving, and embroidery. Here are some examples:
Next we went to a place called the Laboratorio museum, which focused on video and interactive displays - more experiential and very tricky to photograph.
This is a portrayal of the Last Supper, where everyone is eating watermelon.
