The flight ... well, it was a red eye, and it didn't disappoint. Enough said about that.

The Palace of Fine Arts is in the historic district of Mexico City. We plan to see a concert there.
Being May 1, some sights were closed, so we visited Chapultepec Park and walked around the historic district. Some new building are shown for any architects in the crowd.

The ruins of the Aztec Templo Mayor.Below is the top of another Aztec temple. Builders found it when excavating for the subway. They left it where it was and built the subway station around it.

There is a story behind this last picture. It seems that Cortes is rather inconspicuously interred in an old hospital here. This plaque is the only indication. Suffice it to say, Cortes is not well liked in Mexico.
We are quite tired after the day of work, overnight flight, and day of sightseeing.
