Ancient and Modern

After a very full night's rest, we decided to brave the streets of Mexico City by EcoBike, ecobici - a bike share service. After some initial blips, we succeeded, had fun, beat the traffic, and navigated around the city. So, what did we see:

The Anthropology Museum is world-class in its presentation of Mesoamerican culture. Here are just a few of the many, many exhibits.








Across town, the Ministry of Education has a large collection of Diego Rivera murals. Here is a representative one.


This sculpture of Pope John Paul II is outside the cathedral.


This picture was taken from Chapultepec Castle (supposedly the only true castle in the Western Hemisphere) looking southeast.
